About this project

The Masked Singer — FOX is a scripted film/television production. Jon Rezin served as full mix engineer on this project — responsible for the complete music mix delivered to picture: vocals, instruments, backing tracks, dialogue-aware level treatment, and the master bus shaping that travels through the post chain into the broadcast or theatrical print.

Scripted-TV and film mixes have different demands than live broadcasts: the audio is timeline-locked to picture, has to survive heavy dialogue ducking from the re-recording mixer, and must clear broadcast loudness standards (ATSC A/85, EBU R 128) without losing the musical performance.
