MIXED BY JON REZIN
After the tragic yet all too often killing of a black man by police in NY we mourned. His only crime was selling loose cigarettes… but somehow the police deemed it appropriate to use deadly force on him. He left behind family, children, and a community who knew they could be next. We have to speak otherwise we are complicit by our silence. JB Eckl called me and told me about his project with Lonnie Jordan and I said yes immediately. The song was created out of pain, love and hope. I had the pleasure of contributing to the effort by mixing the album.
